Introduction
The rebar bending tester is a specialized device for performing cold bend tests and flat and reverse bend tests on rebar. Its key technical parameters comply with GB/T1499.2-2018 "Steel Tubes for Reinforced Concrete - Part 2: Hot-rolled Ribbed Bars" and YB/T5126-2003 "Rebar Flat and Reverse Bend Test Protocol," as well as the requirements and specifications for cold bend and flat reverse bend tests in ISO 10065:1900. This equipment is ideal for steel mills and construction companies to verify the bending properties of steel pipes.
The rebar bending tester features a compact structure, simple operation, intuitive bend angle display, easy maintenance, smooth and safe operation, and low noise.
Description
The working principle of this testing machine: It uses digital integrated circuits. The bending angle of the testing machine is shaped and divided by the photoelectric pulse obtained from the high-speed shaft of the motor, and the angle is counted and continuously accumulated and displayed. When the working disk of the testing machine rotates to the set angle, the logic circuit controls the brake motor to cut off power and stop rotating.
Install request:
Install on a stable foundation with a horizontal surface error of no more than 0.5/1000.
The power supply should be a three-phase, four-wire system with a 50Hz, 380V supply, and the white neutral wire should be the neutral wire.
Machine Structure
This steel bar bending tester consists of the following components:
1. Frame; 2. Workbench; 3. Workplate; 4. Clamping device; 5. Cycloidal pinwheel reducer (including brake motor); 6. Electrical system; 7. Accessories
Technical Parameter:
Maximum rebar diameter for bending: Φ6-Φ40mm
Forward bending angle adjustable from 0-180°
Reverse bending angle adjustable from 0-180°
Working plate speed ≤ 20°/s
Motor power 1.5kW
Machine dimensions 1000 × 750 × 1200 mm
Machine weight 1000kg
Use methods:
Starting Up: Turn on the device's main power supply and press the power button. The device will power up, the power indicator will illuminate, and the device will enter standby mode. You can then use the buttons to set device parameters and control operations.
Positive Bend Setting: Press the "+/Positive Bend" button for approximately 2 seconds and then release it. The device will enter the positive bend setting mode. The "ones" digit of the positive bend setting LED will flash. Press "+/Positive Bend" to increase the angle, or "-/Reverse Bend" to decrease it. After the "ones" digit is set, press the "Shift" button. The "tens" digit of the positive bend setting LED will flash. Set the tens digit of the positive bend angle in units mode. Press the "Shift" button. , you can also set the hundreds digit of the positive bend angle. If you do not operate the keyboard for more than 5 seconds, the setting state will be exited and the system will save the setting.
Reverse bend setting: Press the "-/Reverse" key for about 2 seconds and then release it. The device will enter the reverse bend setting state. The "+/Positive Bend" key will increase the angle, and the "-/Reverse Bend" key will decrease it. After setting the "units" digit, press the "Shift" key. The "tens" digit of the reverse bend setting LED will flash. Set the tens digit of the reverse bend angle in the same way as the "units" digit. Press the "Shift" key to set the reverse bend angle. Hundreds digit; If no keystrokes are performed for more than 5 seconds, the setting state will be exited and the system will save the settings.
Manual Forward Bend: Pressing the "Manual Forward Bend" key will initiate forward bending. Releasing the key will cause the device to stop.
Manual Reverse Bend: Pressing the "Manual Reverse Bend" key will initiate reverse bending. Releasing the key will cause the device to stop.
Automatic Forward Bend: Pressing the "Automatic Forward Bend" key will initiate automatic forward bending. It will stop when the set forward bending angle or limit is reached.
Automatic Reverse Bend: Pressing the "Auto Reverse" button will cause the device to automatically reverse until it reaches the set reverse angle or reaches the limit position, at which point it will stop.
Stop and Zero Reset: Pressing the "Stop/Zero" button will automatically stop the device if it is in "Auto Forward" or "Auto Reverse" mode, and the angle will be reset to zero. This button should be pressed to reset the system at the beginning of a test.
Emergency Stop: In the event of an equipment anomaly or emergency, pressing the "Emergency Stop" button will disconnect the control circuit power supply, causing the system to shut down. This function is for emergency use and is not intended for shutdown.
Stop: After the test is complete, press the power switch. The power indicator will go off, and the device's main power supply will be turned off, ending the test.
Operation:
Before the test, first set the forward or reverse angle setting according to the test requirements. At this point, the system completes all pre-test setup.
1. Automatic Forward Bend Test
As shown in Figure 20, place the working spindle and bending core onto the work plate. Press the "Reverse Rotation Inching" button to reverse the work plate to its starting position. Insert the rebar and clamp the specimen with the clamping device. Press the "Forward Rotation Inching" button to bring the forward-rotating working spindle closer to the specimen. Click the "Auto Forward Rotation" button, and the testing machine will automatically perform a "forward" (clockwise) bend, displaying the current bending angle in real time. When the set angle is reached, the testing machine automatically stops.

2. Automatic Reverse Bend Test
Place the forward-bent specimen and the reverse-bend work axis as shown in Figure 21. Clamp the specimen with the clamping device. Press the "Reverse Rotation Inching" button. The testing machine automatically performs a reverse (counterclockwise) bend and displays the current bend angle in real time. The machine automatically stops when the set angle is reached.

Note: After each test, the working shaft should be removed and inserted again after the next test begins and the specimen is placed.
Maintain
The bipolar cycloid reducer is lubricated with lithium-based grease. The grease should be replaced every 4-5 years.
When the instrument is not in use for an extended period, apply anti-rust oil to the working surface and store it in a dry location.
The testing machine should be kept clean during operation.
The electronic control unit of the instrument must not be disassembled or repaired while it is powered on.
Notice:
1. When testing this machine after unpacking, first remove all working shafts and bending core sleeves from the worktable and operate it with no load. (Untrained personnel should exercise caution when starting the machine.) Press "Jog Forward Bend," "Jog Reverse Bend," "Auto Forward Bend," and "Auto Reverse Bend" respectively, carefully observing whether the worktable's rotation direction and angle are consistent with the settings. If the worktable's rotation direction is opposite to the direction indicated by the control button, disconnect the power supply and reverse the motor power phase. If any other abnormalities are detected during the test, immediately shut down the machine and turn off the main power supply. Only operate the machine after professional debugging and repair.
2. If the emergency stop button is damaged, do not continue to operate the machine. Have it repaired by an electrical technician before use.
