Product Introduction:
The FHLC-300Y instrumented drop hammer impact test system uses the impact method to test the impact resistance of metals, non-metals, and components. It can verify the process quality of materials or products.
The measurement and control system's high-speed data acquisition processor records the force and deformation changes over time during the impact of the specimen. Force-time distribution curves can be used to analyze the impact deformation resistance of different materials.
According to ASTM D3763, "Plastics High-Speed Puncture Test Method," it can analyze and process the high-speed puncture performance of plastics and customize the system to meet user requirements.
Adding an environmental test chamber system allows impact testing of materials or components at ambient temperatures ranging from -70°C to 150°C.
Technical Features and Advantages:
1. The main unit features a streamlined design with a stable column-frame structure. The test chamber and test fixture are housed within the workbench or lower chamber. The moving crossbeam connects to different hammer sections via hooked release mechanisms of varying sizes. The hammer section is connected to the punch via a load cell, and the punch can be equipped with impact tips of varying shapes and energies to suit different impact standards. Driven by ball screws on both sides, the moving crossbeam moves up and down at a constant speed. Springs are compressed to store energy, raising the hammer to a set height according to the software's preset energy level. The screw drive mechanism is located on the upper crossbeam, and a transparent protective cover is installed within the moving space, resulting in a rational, safe, and aesthetically pleasing structural layout.
2. A servo motor drives the synchronous belt, which provides precise and reliable movement of the moving crossbeam.
3. The hammer can freely fall downward along the guide columns on both sides, or using a combination of spring acceleration and free fall, at different workstations, to achieve impact at the impact point.
4. The load sensor measures force changes during the impact process. The high-precision, high-frequency load sensor, after random calibration, is unaffected by external forces during the test and accurately measures force changes during the impact process.
5. Crosshead movement is controlled by an intelligent, fully digital controller with user-friendly human-computer interaction. After presetting the energy and speed according to user requirements, the hammer is raised to the desired height, ensuring precise crosshead positioning and accurate release of the hammer upon reaching the specified height. The entire test process is fully automated.
6. The maximum data sampling frequency is no less than 2MHz, with a storage capacity of no less than 16,250 points per channel and a force indication error of less than 2%. Interface slots are reserved for expansion of no less than four channels.
7. The measurement and control system is equipped with a dedicated test software package and utilizes high-speed data acquisition technology to achieve high-speed multi-channel data acquisition. Test results can be analyzed and processed according to standard test methods, and it features human-computer interactive programming and control. Powerful graphical operations enable real-time display of test curves and data, including curve scaling, graph enlargement, and capture, as well as cursor-following display. It has the function of storing complete test curves and test data; it has the function of outputting single-piece test reports and printing batch test reports;

(1) It supports the pneumatic anti-rebound system to prevent secondary impact and supports the hydraulic shock absorber to absorb excess impact energy;
(2) Spring drive device: It uses a motor with an encoder to accurately compress the spring. The maximum speed is not less than 24m/s when loaded with a 2kg weight, and the maximum speed is not less than 7m/s when loaded with a 70kg weight, and the maximum potential energy is not less than 300J;
(3) The physical drop height range is not higher than 1.1m, and the equivalent maximum height of the spring-driven high-energy system simulation is not less than 29m;
(4) The system supports instrumented testing capabilities.

Product Structure and Performance:
This testing machine consists of three parts: the main unit, a measurement and control system, an environmental test chamber system, and test accessories.
(I) Main Unit
Main Unit Structure:
The main unit features a four-column support frame structure, with dual lead screws and four guide columns arranged inside. The movable crossbeam's movement space is located between the upper crossbeam and the workbench, while the impact test space is located between the workbench and the base.
The main unit consists of the base, upper crossbeam, workbench, movable crossbeam, ball screw assembly, support columns, and guide columns. The lead screw drive is mounted on the upper crossbeam. The upper crossbeam and workbench are connected by support columns to form the movable space. The punch is connected to the impact hammer via a sensor. The movable crossbeam moves up and down, driven by the lead screw, raising the impact hammer and compressing the spring assembly to store energy. The upward and downward movement of the movable crossbeam is achieved by the lead screw driven by a motor reducer mounted on the upper crossbeam. The main unit comes with an LCD operation panel and pneumatic pressure platen, allowing direct control via the LCD panel. Manual controls include crosshead raising and lowering, punch release, clamp opening and closing, chamber start/stop, and one-touch defrost. The pneumatic pressure platen has a clamping force of ≥3kN and automatically clamps and releases the sample.
During the test, the sample is placed securely on the workbench or on a support fixture within the enclosed chamber below. The punch strikes the sample downward through a hole in the workbench. Sensors and displacement measuring devices accurately measure the force changes and displacement during the penetration process.
After the test, the crosshead automatically returns to its original position. The entire test process can be automatically completed according to the set values.

 10. Post-Test Graph
After setting the data acquisition time and energy impact method, raise the hammer to a certain height and click Start Test.
The test officially begins when the text message "Data acquisition begins" appears on the right side of the software. The software begins plotting the graph when the "Test Completed" message appears on the right side of the software. You can adjust the X or Y axis units to create different graphs to meet different requirements.

 (III) Load sensor
1. Load sensor and acceleration sensor Quantity: one each;

(3) The piezoelectric instrumented hammer head has a high resonant (unloading) frequency of ≥75kHz. (IV) Automation and Safety Features
1. The test equipment must have a drive motor control system. After setting the impact height and hammer weight, the test start can be controlled via a computer and control buttons. The test machine should fully automate the lifting, release, and data collection process.
2. It must provide a voice prompt before impact, and the impact bracket must not come into frictional contact with any guide rods during the impact.
3. The equipment's protective door must have a self-locking function: When the door is open, the test machine will automatically lock, disabling all major operations. This prevents misoperation and ensures the safety of test personnel.
4. Stability Requirements: The machine must not shake during the impact test, and components must not become loose after repeated tests.

Installation and commissioning
